The average dry material yield of peppermint is 3 tons per hectare, or 1,2 tons (2.645 lbs.) per acre.

These average yields are annual and these figures refer to healthy and mature (older than 1 year old) plants that are managed by professional growers. Keep also in mind that there can be significant deviations from these figures, as the yield greatly depends on many parameters (variety, climate, soil condition, fertilization, irrigation, weed and pest control, harvesting, distillation methods etc.). Potential water or other types of stress can cause a significant decrease in all the above yields.
