About
The current agrifood data landscape consists of data dispersed in different places and forms, data unfit for AI tasks and user needs, as well as subpar dataset search capabilities. Thus, STELAR, a 3-year project co-funded by the EU, aims to design, develop and evaluate a Knowledge Lake Management System (KLMS). This system consists of a platform and set of tools that aim to enable simple and intelligent data discovery, AI-ready data, and semantic interoperability in smart agriculture and food safety applications. The planned KLMS will be developed and then demonstrated through three use cases, all three targeting different user needs: (1) Risk Prevention in Food Supply Lines (2) Early Crop Growth Predictions (3) Timely Precision Farming Interventions. The STELAR platform will be useful for governments, SMEs, small farmers, and other players in the value chain. STELAR articles on Wikifarmer are written by the Dissemination and Communication team at Foodscale Hub and consortium member of STELAR.
