Malon E.D. James is a young agricultural innovator and researcher based in Atlanta, Georgia. Having graduated from high school at just 13 years old, Malon is now 15 and has already grown over 42 varieties of fruits, vegetables, and fiber crops in a biosecure indoor hydroponic farm-lab — including pioneering work with hydroponic cotton. His research focuses on controlled environment agriculture (CEA), sustainable substrates, and advanced LED lighting systems. Malon collaborates with the University of Georgia (UGA) and Fort Valley State University, and he is passionate about bridging traditional farming knowledge with cutting-edge technology to create practical solutions for food security worldwide.
