About

AgRibot (Harnessing Robotics, XR/AR, and 5G for a New Era of Safe, Sustainable, and Smart Agriculture) is an EU-funded project launched in 2024. Over four years, the project will test six automated agricultural robots across six European countries, focusing on practical tasks such as harvesting, spraying, pruning, weeding, and fertilisation. AgRibot aims to improve working conditions, reduce environmental impact, address labour shortages, and enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of European farming. The project also seeks to make automated solutions accessible to experienced farmers through tailored training materials, while inspiring a new generation of tech-driven agricultural professionals.
