Samuel Usen Essien is a well-trained Animal Science researcher from Nigeria. He earned a Bachelor of Agriculture, majoring in Animal Production and Health (Second Class Honours, Upper Division), from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. His core interests lie in animal nutrition, particularly its impact on gut health, immunity, and productivity, as well as sustainable feed solutions, with a growing passion for insect-based livestock feed. Samuel is currently undergoing training in data analysis using R programming to advance his scientific writing skills. As the founder and CEO of a food business startup in Nigeria, he also brings valuable experience in leadership, inventory management, marketing, customer service, and operational planning. His short-term goals include publishing scientific articles, sharpening his programming skills, and building a strong professional network in animal science. Long-term, Samuel aims to pursue a MMaster'sand PhD while contributing to sustainable food systems and food security across Africa and globally.
