Nikolaos is a highly motivated researcher with a strong interest in sustainable food processing technologies, food microbiology, and food safety. He holds an Integrated Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science, specializing in Plant Protection and Environment. Driven by his passion for food safety and quality, he pursued an additional MSc degree in Food Science and Technology & Human Nutrition, focusing on “Food Safety and Quality Management Systems” at the Agricultural University of Athens. Currently, Nikolaos is an Early Stage Researcher pursuing his doctoral studies at the University of Reading (UK), where his research focuses on the optimization and upscaling of High Hydrostatic Pressure (HHP), a non-thermal food processing technology. Between his academic degrees, he gained valuable experience in the food industry sector at Nestlé Research in Switzerland and as a trainee at the European Food Safety Authority in Parma, where he participated in various scientific panels and working groups.
