My name is Ghufran Eshaq, and I am currently a PhD researcher in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham, UK. I was born in Baghdad, Iraq, in 1988. I hold a master's degree in food science and Biotechnology, with a specialization in Meat Science. Before starting my PhD, I worked as a teacher and lecturer under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education in Iraq, where I was involved in science education and curriculum development. My research focuses on sustainable agriculture, soil microbiomes, and how microbial diversity can improve food quality and crop productivity. I am passionate about applying scientific research to real-world challenges in food systems, sustainability, and public health.
