The agricultural sector is undergoing continuous change. Prices fluctuate, weather patterns become increasingly unpredictable, and the pressure to produce more with fewer resources continues to intensify. In moments like these, the people who work the land often have the clearest understanding of what is really happening. At Wikifarmer, we believe farmers’ perspectives should guide the discussions that shape the future of food and farming.
This is why we are launching a global survey aimed at farmers of all scales and backgrounds. The idea is simple. We want to understand what is actually happening on the ground, not in theory. Your experience is the most reliable source of knowledge, and we want to give it the space it deserves.
To thank participants for their time, Wikifarmer will offer:
- One (1) winner agricultural inputs valued at 1,000 USD, redeemable through a certified agricultural supply store in their region.
- Ten (10) additional winners free access to a Wikifarmer Academy course of their choice.

Why we created this survey
Farmer voices are often missing from the discussions that shape policies, investments, and services. Reports describe trends, but they rarely capture how these trends affect daily decisions on real farms. By collecting fresh insights directly from farmers worldwide, we aim to bring clarity to issues that matter, from profitability to climate pressures.
The questionnaire takes less than 3 minutes to complete. It covers topics that influence daily work and long-term planning, such as income stability, market pressure, stress factors, and climate risks. We are collecting honest responses that help us understand how farmers are experiencing today’s conditions.
How farmers benefit
Farmers often work with limited information about what is happening beyond their own regions. By joining the survey, farmers can help create a clearer picture of the pressures and opportunities shared across the sector. This helps farmers:
- See how their own experiences compare with broader trends
- Understand how other farmers are coping with similar challenges
- Recognise patterns in markets, stress factors, and climate risks
- Gain a stronger voice in conversations that shape agricultural services and policies
The combined results will highlight where farmers are struggling, where they are adapting successfully, and where support is missing. This makes it easier for farmer groups, advisories, institutions, and supply chains to respond with solutions that reflect real needs.
In short, the survey helps ensure that farmers are not only heard but also understood, and that their experiences guide the decisions that affect their future.
What we will do with the findings
Once the survey closes, our team will study the data and publish the key conclusions. We will highlight differences between regions or production systems without revealing personal information. We also plan to prepare deeper analyses on topics such as resilience, long-term profitability, and the future of global agriculture.
