Jackfruit is a tropical fruit that is sweet in flavor and large in size. It has continued to be considered a staple food in some parts of the world, mainly in Asia and Africa. The part of the fruit that is usually consumed is the fruit pulp, and its seeds are normally wasted, yet they have a high nutritional value. The present paper discloses the potential of jackfruit seeds, whereby such seeds get converted into value-added products for economic and environmental growth.
