Dr. sc. Saša Zavrtnik is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and environmental scientist specializing in biomonitoring and honey bee ecology. He works at the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering, University of Zagreb, where he completed his Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering. With over 16 years of research experience, he has authored several books and numerous scientific articles, and has led projects promoting bee conservation and environmental protection. Dr. Zavrtnik also teaches about the positive impact of animals on human health and actively lectures on the role of bees as bioindicators.
