About
Jazzakah Mapasa is a dedicated Agroecology practitioner from Malawi with over 9 years of experience training smallholder farmers across 14 districts. He serves as the Programme Manager for Schools and Colleges Permaculture (SCOPE) Malawi and is the current Youth Coordinator for the Seed and Knowledge Initiative (SKI) across Southern Africa. Jazzakah holds a BSc in Agriculture Education from LUANAR and is currently pursuing an MSc in Sustainable Agriculture. He is the founder of Bioland Farm, a 15-acre agroecology farm where he practices syntropic agroforestry and biofertilizer production. His work focuses on replacing expensive chemical inputs with locally sourced, low-cost alternatives to build resilient farming communities. His aim is to launch 2 soil amendments (Supercharged Solid Biofertilizer and Supercharged Biofertilizer Liquid) and 1 Broad-spectrum pest repellant at a low cost for smallholder farmers. He will be launching an eBook on Biofertilizers (15 different soil amendments that farmers can make using locally available materials.
