About
Denisa Avdouli is a dedicated researcher, whose goal is to drive innovation and tackle complex challenges in sustainability and agriculture, leveraging research tools and a results-oriented approach. She holds an Integrated Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Production and Rural Environment from the University of Thessaly and a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sustainable Production Systems and Climate Change from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She specializes in Plant Physiology and Plant - Microbe interactions and her work has been published in journals like MDPI’s Horticulturae. She holds experience in the laboratory and enjoys using novel approaches to answer research questions. Currently, she is a Research Associate at Luleå Tekniska Universitet and is working with enzymes and how they can be used for the valorization of municipal organic waste (compost) and agricultural waste to produce biofuels, food, feed and added value products. Recognizing the power of collaboration and continuous learning, Denisa has active participation in conferences, workshops, and seminars and is dedicated to sharing knowledge and fostering connections within the community. She enjoys expanding her skills and holds several certifications including Bioinformatics.
