As an upcoming researcher, I am deeply interested in optimizing dairy production systems, with a particular focus on dairy nutrition, cow health, and leveraging data science for livestock development. My research delves into several key areas of dairy nutrition, including understanding the intricate mechanisms of fiber digestion within the rumen. I am also interested in how grain processing affects rumen fermentation and overall animal health and the critical role of gut health in overall animal performance. I am also committed to exploring sustainable feeding strategies to minimize environmental impact. This involves optimizing feed efficiency and investigating the use of alternative feed resources. Moreover, I am keen to use data science to drive innovation in dairy farming. This includes using predictive modelling to analyze extensive datasets from dairy farms to improve the accuracy of models for predicting feed intake, milk yield, and disease risk. My practical experience includes working with livestock farmer groups and associations to help with reducing production costs, fostering collaborative efforts among farmers, facilitating market connections, and providing extension and support services for sustainable livestock production.
