Mahesh Gote is the Founder of CropGen, an agritech platform in Maharashtra, India, that uses AI, machine learning, and remote sensing to deliver crop monitoring, advisory, and yield prediction services to farmers and agribusinesses. His work focuses on turning satellite, weather, and soil data into practical decisions on irrigation scheduling, nutrient management, pest and disease alerts, and carbon footprint reduction. CropGen was selected under India's Operation Dronagiri geospatial innovation programme and won first prize at the Pune Agri Hackathon 2026. He holds a BSc in Agriculture from Dr. PDKV Akola and an MBA in Marketing, and brings hands-on farming experience alongside earlier roles in agronomy and farmer advisory at Map My Crop and BharatAgri, piloting precision farming practices on his own soybean plots in Washim district before scaling them to partner farms.
