About
Gbodji is an agricultural economist and research staff at the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), where he drives evidence-based solutions for enhanced agricultural productivity, sustainability, and equitable growth. He is a member of the Economics and Impact Assessment Research Group and is part of the Water Growth and Inclusion Strategic Program. His expertise spans agricultural finance and investment modelling, innovation scaling, agriculture water management, impact assessment, and food systems transformation, informing policy and practice to drive impactful outcomes. With a strong passion for interdisciplinary research, Kekeli’s work explores the intersections of agriculture, water management, and economic development. He leads the research and implementation work on developing innovative financing solutions for farmer-led irrigation investment in cocoa. Kekeli obtained a BSc in Agriculture (specializing in Economics) and an MPhil in Agricultural Economics from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, after which he joined IWMI as a research consultant.
