Justine Martine Toulotte, raised in the French countryside, developed an early fascination with nature, driving her to specialize in plant biology. Over 10 years, she studied at various French universities and earned her PhD investigating the flooding tolerance in the major rice weed Echinochloa crus-galli at Utrecht University (The Netherlands), while conducting part of her experiments at IRRI (The Philippines). She also trained and worked on different agronomy topics in various greenhouses and fields at the CTIFL in Balandran (France), at the CNRS in Toulouse (France), and at the SCLU in Cambridge (The UK). Today, she works as a private science and biology teacher, aiming to guide her students in exploring the scientific world, sparking curiosity, and cultivating critical thinking. Simultaneously, as a scientific writer, she has the objective to translate complex plant biology and environmental concepts into accessible and meaningful content, inspiring an appreciation for science and nature.
