Emeka Christian Umunnakwe is an agriculture and food systems advocate working at the intersection of youth development, agribusiness, and climate action in Africa. Based in Nigeria, he has over a decade of experience mobilizing and training young people and communities to adopt modern, sustainable, and climate-smart agricultural practices. He is the founder of the Coalition of African Youths in Modern Agriculture (COAYIMA), an initiative focused on repositioning agriculture as a driver of innovation, dignity, and resilience. Emeka’s work aligns strongly with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 13 (Climate Action), and he continues to combine grassroots engagement, mentorship, and advocacy to strengthen Africa’s food systems.
