Vijay has a unique blend of international expertise in consulting, research, and academia, focusing on horticultural production, postharvest management, cold chain needs for crops, conducting value chain assessments, and global capacity development. He did his PhD (Environment and Agriculture) at Curtin University, Perth, Western Australia with Postharvest Physiology of horticulture crops as a specialization. Vijay is working as a Senior Consultant for Agriculture, Rural Development and Livelihood projects. He is also voluntarily serving as President and Board of Directors for The Postharvest Education Foundation (www.postharvest.org), a non-profit organization committed to reducing global postharvest losses.
