About
Deniz studies Crop Sciences at the University of Hohenheim with a background in Biological Sciences from the University of Exeter. As well as being experienced with lab and field work, designing, managing and carrying out research projects are her strengths. Currently, she is completing her master’s thesis on the soil microbiology of almond orchards under different management systems. This outlines her interest in soil microbiology and alternative farming systems, such as regenerative agriculture. Consequently, sustainable transitions in agriculture and plant-soil interactions are her main fields of interest. She is fluent in English and Turkish and has B1-level German language skills. Outside of her professional life, her main interests include climbing and running.
