I am an animal production professional with a strong academic background in agricultural sciences. My expertise spans animal nutrition, animal genetics, dairy science, animal welfare, livelihood development, and research. My career roles have provided me with the opportunity to address real-life agriculture-related problems, interact with various farming communities, from small-scale to commercial farmers, and enhance technical expertise and knowledge dissemination in animal production. My research interests focus on developing effective strategies for feeding animals, creating breeding models that conserve genetics for efficient production, and mitigating environmental impact. I have conducted research on accurately quantifying enteric methane emissions from beef cattle and the contribution of dairy to livelihood development in Zimbabwe. I am continuously exploring agricultural sciences with a keen interest in acquiring new skills, learning about new technologies, collaborating in writing and research, and contributing to sustainability and development.
