About
I am Arsalan Ahmad, deeply interested in plant physiology, nutrients, toxicity, genomic studies, and plant-insect dynamics. My research focuses on the resistance and defensive mechanisms that plants and insects adopt against environmental and chemical stresses. I am particularly interested in understanding how these organisms regulate their enzymatic activities and gene expression to combat such challenges. This includes studying the intricate interactions between plants and insects at a molecular level, exploring how plants' physiological and biochemical responses are triggered by insect herbivory, and identifying the genetic basis for resistance traits in both plants and insects. I aim to contribute to sustainable agricultural practices by deeply understanding these dynamic processes.
