Natural are all the resources that humans draw from nature and use for a variety of applications.

These resources may come from the lithosphere (minerals), surface (water), and from the air (wind).

Sunlight is also considered as a natural resource. Humans have extracted natural resources for centuries, leading them to gradual exhaustion (e.g., oil).

Some other resources have been polluted by human activities, such as groundwater. By adopting a sustainable way of life and farming, we can protect natural capital by using the resources more wisely.
