What is aeroponic farming?

It is a soilless cultivation system (a type of hydroponic system) in which the plants are cultivated without a growing medium (no substrate). The roots of the plants are suspended in mid-air in tubes and are periodically sprayed or misted with a nutrient-rich water solution.

Herbs, vining vegetables (like cucumber, tomato, pepper), and leafy greens (among others) can be grown with aeroponics.

Aeroponics are commonly used in vertical farming.
