These lines of vegetation can be used in orchards but also work well in cereals to prevent the runoff of pollutants (pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers) to the nearby water bodies. These strips can also serve as winter cover, boosters of agrobiodiversity y attracting beneficial insects (e.g., pollinators), as well as food and nesting sites for birds.
