Agrochemicals are all the chemicals used in agriculture, including pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, plant growth regulators (hormones), and biostimulants.
Farmers use pesticides to manage/control crop “enemies” and fertilizers to promote growth via nutrient supply. Hormones regulate the plant growth through metabolic processes. Regulation’s examples are the acceleration of ripening and blossom thinning. Biostimulants help the crops cope with biotic and abiotic stress.
