Can I grow peppermint from seed?

No, peppermint is a hybrid. The plant produces very few sterile seeds. Thus, you cannot grow true peppermint from seed. However, you can grow other mints from seed (spearmint, water mint etc.)

Is peppermint perennial?

Yes, peppermint is perennial. Most commercial peppermint growers keep the plants for 4-5 years in the field and then they plow and destroy them so at to rotate the crop.
