Wikifarmer is always interested in building partnerships with organizations, universities, institutions, and projects worldwide. Our main goal is to democratize agriculture; we believe networking can help us achieve this. Wikifarmer and Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST) are working together to promote agricultural studies.

Himalayan College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (HICAST) is a privately funded higher education institution founded in 2000 in Kathmandu, Nepal, on the main purpose to contribute to the agricultural sector development by providing advanced education. HICAST is affiliated with Purbanchal University, Nepal and it offers different graduate and undergraduate programs related to agriculture and veterinarian sciences. Over the periods, HICAST has
introduced and taught a number of market-oriented and advanced programs. HICAST thrives with sound academic practices between its teachers, students along with other stake holders by interacting with and about reality, potentials and farm situations in the class rooms, in the community, on the farms and at the classrooms teaching and research laboratory benches followed by intensive internship period in the field. Examination is not a sudden test or obstacles
in the life of students of HICAST but a continuous learning process that starts with the informal assessment of the student’s attentions, attitude, behavior and state of mind to the subject matter and it culminates with the formal assessment of theoretical and practical knowledge and academic achievements. The college has a privileged campus at historical city Kirtipur in the Kathmandu Valley that offers students a mix of traditional and modern atmosphere, with
Veterinary Teaching Hospital, well equipped and spacious laboratories and other settings for practical and experimental work; besides its main campus, the college also has one more experimental and production farm, situated in the subtropical agro-ecological zone, in the Tanahu District of Central Nepal. Working together with local community and international partners, we will contribute to the advancement of agriculture and veterinary sciences to accept
challenges in this ever evolving world.
