Wikifarmer is always interested in building partnerships with organizations, universities, institutions, and projects worldwide. Our main goal is to democratize agriculture; we believe networking can help us achieve this. Wikifarmer and Hawassa University are working together to promote agricultural studies.

Hawassa University, as one of the leading Universities in Ethiopia, has changed its research approach to cater for problem-solving and life-impacting thematic and disciplinary research outputs. It has a long history of success in collaborative research work and community services. Hawassa University leads many internationally and nationally-funded research and community service projects including those supported by NORAD, World Vision, Canada (IDRC, CIDA), DAAD (CLIFOOD), GIZ, Melinda and Bill Gates Foundation, etc. The University also has immense collaboration experience in academic and research work with Universities in the country as well as a number of internationally known universities abroad. Having roots back in 1976, Hawassa University is currently fully committed to the provision of the three pillars of mandates given to higher academic institutions, which include research, technology transfer, and community services. The University has organized itself under seven colleges and three institutions offering trainings for more than 31274 undergraduate, 5283 Masters, and 255 Ph.D. level students under its regular and continuing education programs according to 2019/20 enrolment data.

We join forces with N.G.O.s, Universities, and other organizations globally to fulfill our common mission on sustainability and human welfare.
