The Greek flora includes about 6,000 species and subspecies of plants, of which about 1,100 are endemic, i.e. they do not exist anywhere else on earth. It is unique in Europe for its natural wealth, but also for the large proportion of endemics in relation to its extent.
This fact is due to the wide variety of habitats and ecosystems, which are able to host not only this number of flora but also a very important fauna. The combination of the geographical position of Greece between three continents (Europe, Asia, Africa), the ideal Mediterranean climate, the intense relief, the lacy beaches, the thousands of islands and the rich paleographic history of the Greek area created habitats of vital importance in Europe and the world.
So from what we understand the sources of bee nectar are from different plants with great variety and value unique in the world!

It is found after research in purely Greek varieties and in manuka (as the most famous in the world), that in Greece are produced honeys with very high antioxidant content, such as the honey of oak, chestnut, fir, pine. These also have a mild aroma and dark color with a high content of phenols and various nutrients.
On the other hand the tests with the extraction of propolis with ethanol, gives a product rich in antioxidant activity as well.
Finally, pollen is an excellent product collected by bees from Greek nature with its rich biodiversity and 1100 endemic plants.

Beeocarbs honey:
They have an amazing unique taste and texture due to the dry thermal climate and the low atmospheric humidity in the microclimates of the different regions of Greece, the aroma of the honeys becomes unique and very special.
The places that host our bees are almost untouched, away from any human activity and from residential areas and intensive crops.
We apply gentle management practices in our cells, avoiding applications with chemicals or other insecticides.
We are in constant collaboration with Greek institutions and universities, such as the Agricultural University of Athens for analyzes of our honeys and identifications as purely Greek.

Our honey is stored after harvest by the hive in suitable places with suitable conditions and let it cool as it is called in suitable stainless steel honey collection containers. After this phase and before its natural crystallization occurs, they are packed in suitable ecological or natural honey containers such as the glass jar or special ecological bags, for their perfect preservation and transport in long and difficult conditions. So we are absolutely sure that we ensure a 100% safe and pure product of Greek nature and make it available in all lengths and breadths of our planet.

Beeocarbs consists of a team of human resources who work with them well and professionally. It consists of Agronomist MSc (Plant Production-Botanist) and a team of Thessalian beekeepers with training in beekeeping and experience in agricultural business since 2013. Its members have passed training and business schools and have been awarded for their activities in this field (BCC Praksis Foundation).
Our production base is located near Trikala and Karditsa in Thessaly. In the Agrafiotika mountains, in the coastal zone of Lake Plastira and in the Koziakas mountain range, the houses of our beautiful bees are hosted. Taking advantage of the rich biodiversity of the wider area with the rare flora and endemic plants, the bees give us a rare quality honey and the products of the hive, such as pollen, royal jelly and propolis. All of the above are 100% pure, of course without chemical additives, with light filtration, without scalding, sterile and without any secondary treatment.

Usually during the winter months our honey crystallizes is a very good sample that it is pure and unprocessed because it has not been scalded and boiled. If the honey is boiled at 45Co and above (temperature much higher than the honey is stored naturally in its hive) for a few hours, then it loses all its essential nutrients. If it is not boiled above this temperature or not at all, it follows its natural evolution due to the content of natural sugars it contains.
In the case of crystallization, therefore, to restore it to its previous state, place the honey in a saucepan and let it simmer with the lid of the jar open for a few minutes.

All our honeys are packaged after careful harvesting and natural gentle management practices of our apiary, in glass jar packages or ecological packages special for honey, with a high concentration of the preservation of the aroma, the taste and the freshness of our final products. Also, we can send our product in large packages up to 25 kg, upon agreement.
