novIGRain project- 2nd Workshop

Every year less grain protection products are allowed in the EU. Together with the risk of capacity shortage in several member states, especially in light of current events, this poses a major challenge for the sector. The novIGRain project aims to introduce a sustainable new product and an innovative dual application technology to combat resistance amongst pests and provide Europe’ with a future proof grain storage solution. On our website you can find more information about the project, our partnership and our research.

We care about your challenges and would like to make the best product and technology that meets current needs. Therefore, we are interested in your experiences, thoughts and insights and would like to welcome you to one of our co-creation workshops.

The workshops will be organized on the following locations:
• Berlin (Germany) on the 18th of October at Frizzforum – Friedrichstraße 23, 10969 Berlin, Germany
• Budapest (Hungary) the 16th of November at Babolna Bio headquarters – H-1107 Budapest, Szállás u. 6, 1107 Hungary

We will welcome you from 1.30 pm, start will be around 2 pm and the closing of the workshops are foreseen around 5 pm. You will have the possibility to attend live and network with our partners and other attendees. However, we will also provide the opportunity to join online. Of course we prefer to meet you in person but at the same time understand your busy schedule and the limitations that poses on your agenda.

As we are still working on the details of our program, we can already give a general overview:

Introduction

  • What is the novIGRain project?
  • What are the challenges of the European market, amongst which growing infestation rates?
    Speaker: Professor Vaclav Stesjkal from the Crop Research Institute of the Czech Republic
  • Presentation of the new product and technology.
    Speaker: Babolna Bio ltd. from Hungary

Do the innovations meet the needs? Guided, interactive and hybrid discussion with
questions asked and answered.

Key learnings for participants:

  • Learn about current pest management methods and the challenges across the European sector, for example growing resistance among different pests;
  • Learn about the innovations developed in the novIGRain project and beyond;
  • Learn about intentions, attitudes and perceptions towards new developments in the grain storage sector;
  • Learn about future developments.

Stakeholders with grain storage facilities are offered the opportunity to bring a sample of their stored grain and let it get tested by our research partners on the infestation and resistance rate.
Results will be communicated afterwards and are kept confidential at all times.

In addition, we would also like to draw your attention that in light of the GDPR regulations, we need to ask your approval to use your personal data for the registration and organization of these workshops. Your personal data will only be used for the purposes of the project and will not be shared with third parties. The feedback and information we receive during the co-creation workshops will solely be processed and used for the NovIGRain project. Our legal notice can be consulted on our website. During the workshops we support a discussion on the challenges of the grain storage sector in Europe and which solutions are needed. All the stakeholders have the opportunity to ask questions to the researchers directly and meet with other grain professionals from their region.
