Our main goal is to democratize agriculture; we believe networking can help us achieve this. Wikifarmer and University of Applied and Environmental Sciences (U.D.C.A) are working together to promote agricultural studies.
University of Applied and Environmental Sciences (U.D.C.A) is a modern non-for-profit Higher Education Institution founded in 1983 in Bogotá, Colombia, on the main purpose to contribute to the country’s agricultural sector development upon a deeply committment to sustainable development and society advancement through teaching, research, innovation and projects and actions intended to benefit community. Approaches science and technology from a
humanistic and interdisciplinary perspective, promoting the free and critical debate and solutions from a local, national, regional and global perspective. U.D.C.A offers undergraduate and postgraduate academic programs, develops R+D+i projects and promotes entrepreneurships within several fields of knowledge: Agricultural Sciences, Environmental and Sustainability Sciences, Health Sciences, Law, Administrative and Commercial Sciences, Education and Chemistry. The university has a privileged Campus that offers students open areas in a countryside atmosphere, doted with Veterinary Clinic, a modern Laboratories building and other venues for practical and experimental work; besides its main Campus, the university also has two more academic locations in Bogotá and other one in the city of Cartagena, in the Colombian Caribbean. As a complement, U.D.C.A provides its students, professors and researchers with opportunities to learn, share and apply knowledge, as well as acquire new experiences to enrich them as professionals and global citizens through national and international agreements, memberships and academic networks.
