On October 20th and 21st, the International Meeting on Traditional, Organic and Biodynamic Seeds and Agriculture for Life will take place at the Federal University of Lavras, in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The Luz Figueira Community, affiliated to the Fraternidade – Humanitarian Federation (FFHI), is part of the organization of the Meeting, thus being able to share the experiences with agroecology and pure seeds lived in the Luz Community. At this next International Meeting of Traditional Seeds, Irdin Editora, affiliated to FFHI, will launch the book “Practical Guide for the Production of Vegetable Seeds”, by Vladimir Moreira in co-authorship with Comunidade-Luz Figueira. The book invites us to recover and resume the traditions of sustainable agriculture, based on the preservation and multiplication of open-pollinated seeds, as well as the practices of participatory and ecological agriculture. The Wikifarmer virtual platform will provide an online webinar explanation at this meeting, promoting and disseminating the importance of developing sustainable agriculture. After the event, we will also broadcast lectures and workshops linked to the care of traditional, organic and Biodynamic seeds and the practices of agriculture for life.
