The project “Capacity and Training in Sustainable Socio-Environmental Technologies of Agroecology for Family Farmers in Darfur, Sudan/Africa”, via Innovative University Extension, is a proposal for peace, by food production. It is a participatory partnership between NEAPE/UFLA (Nucleus of Studies in Agroecology, Permaculture and Innovative University Extension at the Lavras Federal University and Verde Campo Company of the Lavras/MG. It aims to promote a Model Agroecological Food Security Program in Darfur, Sudan, with rapid
production of basic and essential foods for needy populations, generating decent employment and income, and environmental protection and conservation. It is also intended to become the project as a model, to expand it to the whole country, and consequently, to all Africa, and other poor countries around the world.
