Velimir Mladenov
Professor at the University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Agriculture Serbia
Velimir is scientist working at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He devoted his career to Plant Breeding and Seed Science. Simultaneously he developed his path in seed business companies as a consultant. He currently leads Plant Breeding laboratory at the University and serves as a President of the UNSFA council. He has been active in developing global collaborations to tap into expertise of plant scientists worldwide –such as COST actions, where he serves in two (ReCrop: Reproductive Enhancement of CROP resilience to extreme climate CA22157 and EPI CATCH – „EPIgenetic mechanisms of Crop Adaptation To Climate cHange CA19125) as a Science Communication Coordinator. He is extremely active in Horizon project calls and at this moment as a participant at two big consortiums, (i) Developing Intercropping for agrifood value chains and ecosystem services delivery in Europe and Southern Countries – IntercropValuES and (ii) Bioeconomy excellence alliance for stimulating innovative and inclusive green technology-Beaming. He has published widely in the areas of crop genetics.
