Oussama Bayssi
R&D Engineer Biomass & Agritechnology/PhD Candidate
Mr. Oussama BAYSSI holds an engineering degree in agri-environment and natural resources from the “Institut Agronomique et Véterinaire Hassan II” (Rabat). He started his professional career at the end of 2016 as an upstream agricultural engineer in a subsidiary of a sugar-producing company in Morocco (COSUMAR). In July 2017, he became a junior product manager (specialty: vegetable crops) at Syngenta Morocco. Mr. Bayssi held the position of engineer in the Department of Development of mountain areas at the regional directorate of Agriculture Dakhla (Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development, and Water and Forests) in early 2019. From June 2020, he held the position of R&D engineer (Bioenergy and AgriTechnology) at the Research Institute for Solar Energy and New Energies (IRESEN). He is involved in setting up various pilot projects on green hydrogen and its applications, bioenergy, and the application of new technologies in agriculture.
Mr. Oussama BAYSSI is also a Ph.D. candidate, and he is working on determining and optimizing the carbon footprint of Argania spinosa products in Morocco and how to create bioenergy value chains around Argan by-products.
