Loraine Kabaka is a Graduate Research Fellow at the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE) in Nairobi, Kenya under the Insect for Food and Feed (INSEFF) program. Her research focuses on applied environmental microbiology, soil health, and sustainable agriculture. Loraine also serves as the Head of Partnerships at the Policy Action Initiative, where she aims to bridge scientific knowledge with policy-making. Previously, she headed a United Nations Volunteers sub-team working on urban gardens in Bamenda Cameroon during emergencies. By contributing in various ways, she is pivotal to advancing the green economy.
