Collaborative project
The mission of education within the Farming Systems Ecology (FSE) of Wageningen University & Research is to, "equip our students and other actors in the food system with the keys to unlock, redesign, and transition farming systems by experiencing, analyzing, and learning from outstanding examples of farms and foodscapes around the world".In its current capacity, FSE works towards these objectives through the education of students that strive to radically redesign the food system.
The Lighthouse Farm Academy is a collaborative project between FSE, Wageningen Academy and Deloitte consulting to adapt the current course portfolio to a broader audience of food systems professionals. By drawing from the experience of the Global Network of Lighthouse Farms and grounding them in science, the project aims to strengthen the collaboration between actors, while building a living network of changemakers.
