Wikifarmer is the greatest User-Generated Online Farming Library, aiming to educate people on how to grow anything, anywhere in the world. According to the United Nations, Wikifarmer is the “Wikipedia of Farming”. Our Knowledge Base is available in 12 languages. Wikifarmer has launched a platform in which every farmer can showcase his/her production and sell directly to businesses and individuals. Wikifarmer will lead a regeneration in Agriculture and Food Industry by forcing transparency, accessibility, security and honesty across the food chain and by eliminating unfair prices imposed by middlemen.

We are looking for a junior to medium level full-stack web developer with 1 to 4 years of experience. Are you a dedicated professional with excellent problem-solving skills and passion for technology? We want to meet you!

Role summary

You will be creating new features and rewriting existing functionality to improve the user experience on our Marketplace and Library projects. Secondarily, you will help to integrate and develop solutions to improve the effectiveness of our Customer Support and Marketing teams.

Main requirements

BSc in Computer Science or similar degree.
At least 1 year of experience in Web Development.
Good understanding of relational database querying, OOP principles, PHP, Javascript and responsive web design.
Very good English reading and writing skills.

Nice to have

Experience working with version control, package management and automated testing tools.
Experience working with E-commerce and CMS systems.
