Agricultural engineer specialized in olive oil industry
I am an enthusiastic and dedicated agronomic engineer with a diverse background in agricultural and agri-food product marketing, as well as process engineering. My specific area of interest lies in the olive oil sector and biological analysis. During my academic pursuits, I focused on researching and developing biological control methods using trichogramma augmentation, a project undertaken at INRAE in France. This experience has equipped me with valuable skills in molecular analysis, insect sampling, and processing bioinformatics data. In my master's thesis project, I investigated the quality standards and export opportunities of Tunisian olive oil. The objective was to propose marketing strategies based on a comprehensive market analysis of Tunisian olive oil, conducted at the Olive Institute in Sfax, Tunisia. My expertise also encompasses olive oil tasting, physico-chemical analysis, economic surveys, and questionnaire design. I collaborated with marketing experts and olive oil researchers to conduct economic analyses of the Tunisian olive industry using methods such as SWOT and Delphi. My primary motivation is to contribute to the advancement of global food security. I am eager to continue my research in a stimulating and collaborative environment where I can leverage my skills and expertise to address current challenges in the agri-food industry.
