Milka Susan is a dedicated soil science student and environmental researcher pursuing an Erasmus Mundus Master in Soil Science at Ondokuz Mayis University and Agriculture University, Plovdiv. Milka's journey in the field began with a BSc Honors in Agriculture from Kerala Agricultural University, India. Her career has encompassed significant roles, including internships at the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and Ghent University, Belgium. At UNCCD, she specialized in developing educational content on land degradation, while at Ghent University, she played a pivotal role in optimizing microplastic extraction from soil. Milka has also honed her practical skills in soil, plant, and water analysis at the College of Agriculture, Vellayani, significantly contributing to advancing agricultural practices and environmental monitoring techniques. A recipient of the prestigious Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, Milka Susan's expertise in laboratory techniques like spectroscopy and colorimetry, combined with her hands-on experience, positions her as a valuable contributor to the field of soil science.
