Mario González Azcárate is a researcher and youth “ag”vocate with a PhD in short food supply chains from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. He has engaged in student mobilities in Europe and abroad, received awards for food waste business ideas, and worked as a field engineer in Asia and Latin America. Mario's research spans various topics, and he has published multiple papers in international scientific journals. Fluent in Spanish, English, Portuguese, and French, he is a board member of the Next Generation Impact Network (https://nginag.org/) and chairs the Youth Alliance for Zero Hunger—an international coalition empowering youth voices in food systems policy discussions.
